Over the coming months, we will be setting up AROS as a new organisation. This is a significant and exciting phase, as we move from planning to putting in place the structures, people, and systems that will bring AROS to life.
As the host organisation, we have now entered the so-called mobilisation phase. This stage is about laying the foundations for AROS – from securing a permanent location and building operational capacity, to recruiting the team that will lead and shape the organisation’s future.
At the heart of this phase is the recruitment of AROS’s first team, beginning with the Chief Executive Officer (CEO). The CEO will play a central role in establishing the direction and priorities of the Observatory. In the coming weeks, the CEO recruitment campaign will go live and we will provide a separate update on that.
Following this, we will advertise additional roles across the AROS team, creating a skilled, diverse, and values-driven workforce to take the work forward. Alongside team recruitment, we will also begin the process of establishing the AROS Advisory Board. The Board will provide strategic guidance, ensure accountability, and help connect AROS to the communities it exists to serve.
This mobilisation period will continue throughout 2025, as AROS gradually takes on more of its own functions and begins to operate independently. The timeline below outlines the key steps in this journey, from early setup through to full establishment.
