As AROS continues to take shape, we want to keep you updated on how we are managing the digital transition from previous bodies that were fundamental in laying the groundwork.
The Anti-Racism Interim Governance Group (AIGG) and the Design and Accountability Group (DAG) originally created www.antiracismobservatoryforscotland.org to share information about their work and engage with the wider public. We are now in the process of formally transferring that domain so it can continue to be part of AROS’s long-term digital presence.
In the coming weeks, the AIGG/DAG domain will be set up tp redirect to the new AROS website at www.arosonline.org. While we make that transition, you can continue to access all AIGG and DAG reports, documents, and the original website content directly. It is also available, and will continue to be available, through the Archive section of this site.
Going forward, www.arosonline.org will be the main domain for AROS. We’ve chosen this name because it is shorter and easier to use on printed materials, and more accessible for sharing with communities and stakeholders. However, the original AIGG/DAG domain will remain active and will point visitors to the new site in due course.
The new website, www.arosonline.org, has been developed by the hosting team to serve as an interim information portal prior to the actual AROS team being in place. As such, we have focused on ensuring the previous work is available in the archive, and approaches then pursued, e.g. providing community translations and a newsletter, are maintained. The actual AROS team, once in place, will undoubtedly want to redevelop the site to provide more expansive and detailed content; a repository will also be built. In the meantime, we hope you find this website helpful.
We are committed to transparency and continuity as AROS moves from its mobilisation phase into full operation, and will continue to make archived materials easily available as part of that commitment.
If you have any questions or suggestions, feel free to get in touch. Thanks for staying with us on this journey.
